Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power projects throughout North America. Responsibilities Safety Planning and Implementation: u2022 Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures specific to power generation projects u2022 Ensure that safety protocols are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and Kiewit's safety standards. u2022 Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and assess safety risks. Training and Education: u2022 Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors. Provide guidance on safety-related certifications and qualifications required for specific job roles. u2022 Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization. Incident Management and Investigation: u2022 Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents. u2022 Analyze root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure timely reporting of all safety incidents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance: u2022 Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and standards applicable to power generation projects u2022 Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies. Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits. Safety Performance Monitoring: u2022 Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety performance on projects. u2022 Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate adherence to safety standards and identify areas for improvement. u2022 Provide timely and accurate safety reports to project management and senior leadership. Qualifications u2022 Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial or equivalent degree/work experience u2022 5-10 years of experience in Heavy Industrial and/or Solar projects u2022 Strong work ethic; good interpersonal and organizational skills u2022 Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment u2022 Ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software. u2022 Ability to carry out duties in varying work environments including wide ranging weather conditions and terrain. u2022 Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements is preferred #LI-EA1 Working Conditions u2022 Fast-paced office environment; u2022 Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively. u2022 Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen u2022 Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
