Requisition ID: 176798 Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Power Constructors District Department: Field Supervision Market: Power Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview As a Ironwork Superintendent, you will be expected to bring an expertise in the this scope for power generation projects -gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps and compressors. In this role, you will be expected to spend time in the field, ensuring the safety, quality and productivity of the operations under your responsibility. District Overview Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America. We offer integrated engineering, procurement, construction and startup service needs, specializing in gas and coal-fired power generation, coal retrofit and renewable energy. Location We are looking for people for various projects across the Midwest and other locations as needed. Project locations could be OH, TX, PA, etc. Responsibilities u2022 Provide supervisory direction of craft workers managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence. u2022 Planning, scheduling and execution of field operations ensuring compliance with erection manuals and quality procedures for your assigned scope of work. u2022 Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence. u2022 Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate. u2022 Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Companyu2019s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies. Qualifications u2022 5+ yearsu2019 work experience in ironwork scopes of work. Candidates for this role do not have to have Superintendent experience, those who have filled foreman and general foreman roles are encouraged to apply.
