Title: Production Line Lead FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Production Supervisor & Shift LeadTravel: As needed according to essential functions of the position Department: ProductionJOB PURPOSE: The Line Leader will coordinate employee activities and product handling of an assigned production line to ensure maximum line efficiencies under our quality and food safety standards. Essential duties and responsibilitiesCoordinate employee activities and product handling of an assigned production line; works along with line employeesReceive instruction from the Production Supervisor/Shift Lead for product orders that need to be processedOrganize line crew to effectively process orders received, ensuring a timely line start dailyOrder product and packaging materials from the material handler in an organized manner to ensure maximum line efficienciesPrioritize order processing in relation to shipping requirements and production schedulesSet up fillers, coders, scales, case sealers, and all other equipment required prior to each production runPerform routine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment as needed during each production runTrain LOTO procedure on certified lines Report all production activities for assigned lines into the EC, M3, or paper formsComplete all required HACCP and quality paperwork dailyMaintain communication with the Supervisor on any production or staff-related issuesEnsure all line employees safely operate equipment used on the line, as well as follow all safety proceduresCross-train line employees on any other lines assigned at any given timeMaintain a clean work areaConduct allergen and line changeoverComplete Win the Day BoardsReport line inefficiencies and had off meeting with incoming shift. Drive safety and quality mindset daily Perform all other duties as assignedQualifications/RequirementsBilingual English/Spanish preferredPrefer High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Machine operator experience preferredMust have a working knowledge of general warehouse operations; food industry experience a plus Must be flexible with hours, possibility for OTAbility to lift 50lbs Must follow all WG GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsSkills/AbilitiesMust have basic computer skillsDemonstrated good leadership skillsAbility to read and write EnglishMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural documentsUnderstand the basics of scale operations, weights, and measurementsAbility to prioritize and learn quicklyGood verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to adapt to different production linesAbility to multi-taskStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsAbility to assist maintenance with minor adjustmentsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
