Are you ready to join our crew and become a Viking?Position: Customer Service Representative (we like to call it Spec Builder)Location: New Paltz, NYHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pmWhat's in it for you:Competitive pay ranging from $18 to $22 per hour (depending on experience)Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA)401(k) plan with employer matchPaid vacation and sick timeQuarterly attendance bonusBiannual production bonusOnsite training and opportunities for advancementManufacturing training programs through the AICC and Council of IndustryResponsibilities:Coordinate with sales, production, accounting and external suppliers to address packaging needs, quotes, and ordersCraft detailed Specs based on feedback from the sales and the customerGenerate accurate quotes for customers, considering package usage & type, dimensions, production method, and time to produceDeliver formal quotes to customers and sales reps via emailProcess customer purchase orders with precisionMaintain customer accounts, including shipping locations and special requirementsConduct thorough reviews of your work and that of your peers to ensure accuracyWho we're looking for:Ideally, you'll have 3 to 5 years of previous experience in business-to-business, customer service, Sales Support or spec building. But if you're a quick learner with a passion for the job, we're eager to hear from you!Strong organizational skills is a must in this roleExcellent mathematical abilities, including working with fractions and measurements.Obsessive attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvementStellar communication skills, integrity, and accountabilityFamiliarity with resource planning software is a plusStrong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Comfortable working with paper filing systemsHigh school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)We believe in giving our employees the tools and support they need to thrive and grow.
