Better Health.Join Our Team!Please review our open positions and apply for the role that sparks your passion and elevates your skills.Position Objective:The Receptionist is an administrative role and is responsible for routine administrative and patient care supportive duties in medical practice to ensure the office or clinic runs smoothly. The incumbent will report to the Office Manager (or similar role) and will be responsible for maintaining patient demographics and insurance records. This includes performing routine duties associated with patient scheduling and processing payments/copayments.Responsibilities:Greet patients in a courteous and polite manner, and conduct all front office functions as requestedResponsible for accurately and professionally handling all front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, balancing daily collections, addressing routine inquiries, and triage callsComplete patient phone calls including but not limited to proactive care coordination, medication reminders, appointment reminders, transitional care management, and complete documentation with telephone encounters accordinglyAssist with patient appointments including preparation, form completion and loading, check-in, check-out, payment collection, and follow-up actionsMaintain patient medical records in accordance with the Center's policyAssist with inventory and maintain office suppliesAssist with managing patient records including medication sheets, questionnaires, screening forms, vaccinations, and additional medical documentsProvide patients with appropriate medical wellness paperwork to completeAdditional duties as assignedPosition Requirements/ Skills:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to accurately read and write medical terminologyBasic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.At least 1 year of experience of medical office experienceProven ability to work with Google Suite software or equivalent (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint)Physical Requirements:Full range of body motion, including handling and transferring patients, manual and finger dexterity; including eye-hand coordinationRequires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching at arm’s length and overhead in a clinic for prolonged periods of timeRequires ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of timeRequires ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbsRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal rangeAbility to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to operate a computer and telephoneHave own means of transportationKey Attributes/ SkillsHas a contagious and positive work ethic, inspires others, and models the behaviors of core values and guiding principlesAn effective team player who contributes valuable ideas and feedback and can be counted on to meet commitmentsIs able to work within our Better Health environment by facing tasks and challenges with energy and passionPursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success, and can be counted on to complete goalsDemonstrated ability to handle data with confidentialityAbility to work cross-functionally with multiple teams; ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with patients, providers, health plans, and internal/external stakeholdersStrong interpersonal and presentation skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of medical coding, preferredKnowledge of HIPAA, preferredWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package:Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life401k, with employer matchPaid time offPaid holidaysUSD $17.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
