Sanding and Polishing Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Sanding and Polishing Technicians for projects located in and around Streamwood, IL. This is a first-shift opportunity with apay rate of up to $24/hour, based on experience and skill level. If you’re a motivated technician with sanding and polishing experience and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Clean, sand, and polish materials to remove imperfections and prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or finishing processes.Identify and repair defects such as cracks, knotholes, and other imperfections using sanding, filling, or other methods.Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, polishers, sanders) to achieve desired results.Inspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet templates, specifications, and quality standards.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Able to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics as required to create parts.Ability to identify and correct defects during sanding and polishing.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Thorough understanding of metallic properties.Familiarity with nesting processes and work order systems.Ability to work independently or collaborate with other technicians and team members.PPE and basic hand tools required.Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
