Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.$5,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates!Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptionsInforms patients and families about the treatment process and answers questionsPrepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to planTakes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followedVerifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physicianAdministers treatment to patientMonitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercomInforms physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment processRecords each patients’ treatment in EMR and proper notes for accurate treatment and set-upMaintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the filed by reading appropriate journals, books, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and education opportunitiesAs directed by radiation oncologist, constructs immobilization devices, positions and marks patient during simulationWork with staff in general scheduling, patient charging and order entryParticipates in scheduled chart round conferences and other quality meetingsEducationSatisfactory completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy ProgramLicenses & CertificationsARRT (T) boards completion within in 6 month of hireBLS from the American Heart Association required upon hireKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of linear accelerators and record and verify systemsAbility to operate radiation therapy equipmentAbility to manage patientsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsHelloImaging ImagingNebraska #MissionCritical #LI-CHI
