At OHSU, APPs thrive as clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders shaping the future of healthcare.The Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) outpatient clinic provides acute and long-term care to patients who have undergone an autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) or received other cellular therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Infusion APP to join our Hematology & Medical Oncology team. This role is responsible for the clinical management of patients in the outpatient infusion unit, ensuring the delivery of coordinated, high-quality, and efficient care.Location: South Waterfront - OHSU Center for Health & Healing, Building 2 (CHH2)Schedule:Weekdays: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (7 days on / 7 days off)Weekends: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PMCoverage: Monday through SundayNote: Unit operates 365 days a yearKey Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive clinical management of patients receiving infusion therapy in an outpatient oncology setting.Ensure a seamless and effective care experience through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.Partner with clinic leadership to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.Serve as a resource for education and training of staff, colleagues, and students.This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Join us in delivering exceptional care and advancing oncology treatment practices.Please be sure to upload a Cover Letter and Resume/CV when applyingClinical Responsibilities:Provide medical coverage for the Outpatient Treatment UnitRespond to and manage adverse infusion reactions and other emergenciesAssess patient condition when notified of an urgent need, and order necessary medications, imaging studies or other supportive care interventions.Communicate with primary treatment team regarding adverse reactions or urgent patient issuesProvide patient education.Provide consultation to Outpatient Treatment Unit (OTU) nurses.Ensure that the OTU has APP coverage at all times by working collaboratively with colleagues and covering for colleagues as needed when peers are on leave.Provide urgent medical care for patients requiring same day evaluationProvide medical care independently and/or in conjunction with attending physicians.
