We’re looking for a passionate alternative music fan who can creatively share their love for the format with our growing Detroit audience in the studio, through social media and in the community.What You'll Do:Host weekend/fill-in air shifts on ALT 98.7, Detroit’s Alternative RockEngage with fans at ALT 98.7 events, sales appearances and remote broadcastsCreate content for station socials, focusing on both alternative music and DetroitProtect the station’s FCC licenseMonitor the music and commercial logs for the airshiftEnsure that promotions and contests are executed properlyOther duties as required by managementMore About You:Required & Preferred:Must have a thorough understanding of the alternative format, audience and lifestyleMust be an excellent communicator and collaborator with a strong work ethicMust have a working knowledge of the equipment and technical systems necessary for on-air execution, including automation systems such as Wide OrbitExperience with on-air and/or digital content creation preferredFamiliarity with the Detroit local music scene and concert venues a plusMust have knowledge of FCC rules and regulationsA valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicants own vehicle, proof of insurance, is requiredPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hearSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMajority of work will involve speaking into a microphone and operating a computer keyboardJob may require on site broadcasts where tables/equipment may need to be set up/broken downPlease be aware that Audacy willneverask you to send money at any point during the hiring process.
