This role involves strategic leadership, staff development, and collaboration with internal and external parties to achieve optimal claims outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and mentor a team of claims professionals handling Complex Liability throughout the United States.Review, analyze, and approve claim reserves to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with company guidelines.Monitor claim files for proper investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution in alignment with best practices and legal requirements.Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical expertise and professional development of the claims staff.Conduct regular file audits to ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Attend mediations, trials, and conferencesCollaborate with internal departments such as Underwriting, Legal, SIU, and Actuarial to support claims handling strategies and business objectives.Provide technical guidance and support on complex, high-exposure, or litigated claims.Prepare and deliver reports on claim trends, key performance indicators, and departmental metrics to senior management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels to our insureds.Works and manages preferred vendors to help assist in claim adjustment such as attorneys, accountants, and independent adjusters.QualificationsPrior experience supervising litigated liability claimsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and computer skillsExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize
