We offer ongoing training and development opportunities for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, and have best in class clinical resources for training, education, and point of care support. The Physician is responsible for assessing and treating patients’ physical health including conducting exams and coordinating outside referrals. The role includes oversight of clinical care activities provided by ARNPs, documentation, and after-hours on-call responsibilities. This position performs minor procedures and collaborates with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care. Physicians also educate patients and families, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and tailor treatment plans to the patient's age and development. Travel may be required depending on facility needs, and work is primarily in correctional or clinical settings.Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic proceduresProvide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-upsOffer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation reviewPerform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar punctureCollaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and familiesWe are looking for a physician to join our clinical team at Isabella County Jail. This role is 3 hours onsite a week and picking up on call.
