Cost Accountant

Description In-office position with high flexibility. We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team near Ft. Worth/Weatherford, TX area. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by managing essential accounting functions, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Cost Accountant will collaborate with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. Duties include: + Collecting and analyzing data about a companyu2019s operational costs + Setting standard costs of manufactured goods + Developing and analyzing cost standards + Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, including for small businesses + Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc. + Performing account reconciliations + Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management + Recommending changes to the companyu2019s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit + Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data + Managing the companyu2019s balance sheet and accounting books + Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. u2022 Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close activities and advanced analytical skills. u2022u2022 Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial information. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
