Internal Audit Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in overseeing audit programs and ensuring compliance within the banking industry. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in internal auditing and a deep understanding of financial regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive audit plans tailored to the needs of the banking sector. u2022 Collaborate with audit committees to provide insights and recommendations based on findings. u2022 Conduct thorough evaluations of internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. u2022 Utilize frameworks such as COBIT to assess and improve information systems governance. u2022 Review and analyze banking and finance laws to ensure organizational adherence to legal requirements. u2022 Supervise audit programs to maintain operational efficiency and mitigate risks. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to audit teams, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability. u2022 Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit results and present findings to senior management. u2022 Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt audit strategies accordingly. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 15 years of internal audit experience within a financial institution. u2022 Advanced knowledge of audit plans, programs, and committee functions. u2022 Strong expertise in banking and brokerage operations, as well as banking industry practices. u2022 Familiarity with COBIT frameworks and their application in auditing. u2022 In-depth understanding of banking and finance laws. u2022 Proven ability to develop and execute effective audit strategies. u2022 Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing audit teams. u2022 Certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are highly desirable.
