The critical responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Conduct rigorous field inspections in strict accordance with the requirements outlined in the NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Manual. + Meticulously prepare comprehensive inspection and flag reports. + Provide authoritative supervision to the Team Leader Assistant and access equipment vendors. + Execute thorough quality control reviews of work produced by team members and colleagues. + Contribute substantial expertise to the development of technical proposals. + Provide accurate and detailed estimates for engineering budgets and schedules. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Civil Engineering plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Professional Engineering (P.E.) License. + Valid U.S. Drivers license. Preferred Qualifications: + Long span bridge inspection experience as a Team Leader. + Experience in Bridge inspection as a Team Leader. + Ability to complete NHI Course No. 130055 u201cSafety Inspection of In-Service Bridgesu201d, or NHI Course No. 130056 u201cSafety Inspection of In-Service Bridges for Professional Engineersu201d. + Demonstrate proficiency in working at significant heights, utilizing various access equipment including ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Must possess the physical capability to climb, navigate confined spaces, and operate effectively under adverse weather conditions. + Maintain expert-level knowledge of personal computers in Windows environment and demonstrate full proficiency with NYSDOT inspection and load rating software. Additional Information + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + Relocation is not available for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
