Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will design and develop combustion devices (injectors, chambers, nozzles, thrusters, igniters, and related components) for the BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine. You will be responsible for a combustion device'scomplete product life-cycle from initial requirements through flight qualification including design, manufacturing, test support,performingtest data reviews, processing non-conforming hardware and writing technical reports. You will need to have a background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and structural mechanics to be successful. You will be reporting directly to a Combustion Devices Manager within the BE-7 Combustion Devices team.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is requiredQualificationsMinimum of a B.S. degree in engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical or physics desired)Familiarity with a variety of combustion devices2+ years of industry experience in a related fieldComputer aided design (CAD) experienceFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Familiarity with data analysis and data processingDesiredM.S. in engineering discipline or higherStrong technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluids, thermodynamics, and combustion analysisStrong knowledge of combustion devices design process and hardware fabrication techniquesExperience with Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10Knowledge of python or other coding language for creating data processing toolsSpecial MentionsRelocation providedTravel expected up to 10% of the timeInterviews will include a technical assessmentMultiple positions availablePositions open in Seattle and HuntsvilleCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $96,310.00-$134,833.65Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
