Job Description

Pipeline Development ? Assist in creating and maintaining gift officerportfolios with the most viable prospects via identification andassignment of new major gift prospects and prioritization of existingmajor gift prospects already in portfolio using best practices andoperating procedures. ? Collaborate with cross-functional prospectportfolio review teams comprising Prospect Management, ProspectResearch, Business Intelligence, and Gifts & Records staff to providecomprehensive, data-driven support and strategic insights for individualgift officers. ? Consult on and interpret prospect and portfolio reportsthat support Advancement metrics and goals in partnership with giftofficers. Portfolio Management ? Monitor and analyze the portfolios ofgift officers, ensuring they are aligned to expectations in terms ofsize and stage of cultivation. ? Update database of record as necessaryand monitor data integrity to report key metrics for individualfundraiser portfolios. Staff and Project Management ? Manage 1 ProspectManagement Analyst, being responsible for all management, onboarding,goal setting, and direction of duties; collaborate with Director ofProspect Management on team. ? Design and implement processes andtracking methods to manage multiple concurrent projects-for organizationwithin the team and transparency across the organization. ? Participatein cross-divisional initiatives to support major gift campaigns andstrategic fundraising efforts. ? Communicate and train gift officers onpolicy and process recommendations created by the PM team to fostercollaboration and ensure alignment with industry best practices; supportstaff and provide guidance and coaching to align with policies asneeded. ? Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders on projectsand deliverables. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree. ? Five to eightyears of prospect/portfolio management experience, preferably in auniversity setting. ? Comprehensive understanding of philanthropy,prospect development, and prospect management. ? Experience partneringwith gift officers on prospect and/or portfolio strategy. ? Excellentability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize various datapoints formaking assignment and prioritization decisions with fundraiser partners.? Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. ?Personal belief in mission, goals and objectives of private highereducation. ? Superb judgment and sensibility to adjudicate wisely amongcompeting priorities. ? Strong strategic and project management skills,including demonstrated ability to relate well to, and understand theneeds and interests of a diverse group of fundraising professionals in afast-moving environment. ? Solid understanding and ability tocollaborate and develop partnerships across the University. ?Expectational ability to take initiative, be proactive, and beself-motivated. ? Extreme organizational skills with excellent attentionto detail. ? Ability to keep donor and donor prospect informationconfidential. ? High proficiency in relevant software, eCRM's,operations and procedures, including University wide systems andapplications.
