Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in automotive repair and diagnostics, with a strong focus in Diesel and aftermarket parts. This role requires proficiency in various automotive systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The Master Technician will play a crucial role in diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance.Duties- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.- Perform maintenance tasks on vehicles, including oil changes, brake services, and alignment.- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components effectively.- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.- Work with both gasoline and diesel engines, including transmissions and powertrain components.- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.- Collaborate with service advisors to provide clear communication regarding repairs needed and timelines.- Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in automotive service.- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.Requirements- Proven experience as a Master Technician or similar role within an automotive aftermarket setting.- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including power tools and hand tools.- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, with experience in ADAS technology preferred.- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service best practices.- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive electrical systems.- Experience with GM vehicles is a plus; knowledge of diesel engine repair is also desirable.- Welding skills are advantageous for certain repair tasks.- Excellent problem-solving abilities along with strong attention to detail.- Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.- A valid driver's license is required.
