Job ID: 704618BR Date posted: Sep. 11, 2025 Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Industrial Engineering Associate Manager to join our team in Courtland, AlabamaIndustrial Engineers operate in a fast-paced, agile,next-gen environment, and utilize the latest technologyin PLM, MRP, MES, Discrete Event Simulation, DataAnalytics, and Data Visualization Software to produceanalysis’ & metrics which enable imperative businessdecisions.This position will provide data-driven solutions thatenable the production team to optimize theirmanufacturing schedules and costs. This positionrequires collaboration with all functional groupsthrough the entire product lifecycle within a productionenvironment. Candidate will have the opportunity toprovide valuable solutions to multiple organizationsand align program priorities.The Industrial Engineering team is known fordelivering breakthrough capabilities and processimprovement that continually redefine space flight. If you possess a passion for continuousimprovement and are always looking for ways toreduce waste, improve human factors, and introducetechnology to effect change, this may be the role foryou.This is a leadership opportunity where you will:• Apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts andtechniques to analyze business processes and reducewaste.• Interrogate data systems (SAP) and look foropportunities to surface problems and driveimprovements.• Provide oversite shop floor support, includingmethods of creating crew plans, burn down charts andperformance metrics to optimize production.• Oversee process improvement efforts, ensuringimplementation and sustainment while demonstratingresults.• Train & advocate with stakeholders and teammembers on Industrial and Operations Engineeringprinciples.• Optimize organizational structure, team communication and skill proficiencies to maintain ahigh performing team.Basic Qualifications:• Direct experience as an industrial engineer or similar technical authority in a production environment• Experience leading teams and projects (informal or formal leadership experience)• Must be able to obtain a secret clearanceDesired Skills:• Bachelor's degree in an Industrial Engineering• Industrial Engineering experience: 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree• Leadership experience. Proven ability to maintain a high performing team. Ability to manage and resolveconflict.• Experience with manufacturing systems, including ERP, MES, and automation systems. SAP, Apriso, VECAMS• Knowledge of simulation modeling tools and ability to apply them to analyze and optimize production systems. Simo software experience preferred.• Proven experience and knowledge in establishing and launching new production manufacturing lines or factories, including planning, design, implementation, and ramp-up to full production capacity.• Ability to develop and execute ramp plans to increase production rates while maintaining quality and efficiency.• Knowledge of line balancing principles to ensure that production workflows are optimized and efficient.• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices• Ability to construct PowerPoint presentation material and brief to senior leadership effectivelySecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
