JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY Mortenson is seeking a Commissioning Manager Ito drive and lead project construction and contract administrationactivities, focusing on successful commissioning, and actively engagingin the delivery of larger, more complex assignments, while planning andconducting work that requires independent judgment in evaluating,selecting, and adapting commissioning techniques, procedures, andcriteria. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform scope of work technical reviews andprovide detailed comments and recommendations Develop commissioningspecifications and create commissioning plans, checklists, and tests forcollection and control systems Lead field visits, observe commissioninginspections and tests, and provide technical guidance Direct functionalperformance tests in the field, including creating the project'scommissioning plan and schedule Draft technical documents for issueresolutions, lessons learned, and best practices; write issuedescriptions, meeting minutes, field reports, and final reports Conducttraining sessions, communicate across disciplines for constructioncoordination, and resolve commissioning issues with contractorsCollaborate with the scope team and Project Manager to verify scopeintent and criteria; develop and maintain collaborative relationshipsLead planning and execution of system tests, including NETA, SCADA,controls, and operations verification of mechanical, electrical, fireprotection, and life safety systems; effectively lead internal meetingsand manage team performance QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree inConstruction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or ElectricalEngineering, or 10 years of equivalent field experience Minimum sixyears of construction management or commissioning experience, preferablywith an MEP Contractor or Commissioning firm Conceptual knowledge of keyconstruction documents and their relationship to Project Management andField Executions Excellent communication and client relationship skillsExpert understanding of how design, construction, start-up,commissioning, and turnover align within the project delivery processExperience with key construction documents and their relationship toQuality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Understanding of PowerPurchase Agreements (PPA) and interaction testing and turnoverrequirements Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards,and specification requirements, and ability to interpret themProficiency in the commissioning process, L0-L5, and ability to relateconstruction deliverables to commissioning deliverables Intermediateskills in Microsoft Office, project management, and pertinent webapplications; strong understanding of data-based commissioning toolslike BIM360 General understanding of building systems across disciplinesand fundamental...
