Our in-housestructural engineering team provides support to architectural teams toenable project vision and design objectives with unique and integratedstructural solutions. This position is responsible for structural designand coordination from inception to completion including documentpreparation, structural system selection, and direct collaboration withclients and consultants. How will your days be spent This position will work onprojects that vary in size and complexity. Design structural systemsincluding cast-in-place, precast and post-tensioned concrete, structuralsteel, masonry and wood for a variety of commercial, industrial andinstitutional buildings. Perform structural system selection studies andselect appropriate systems. Participate in the coordination ofarchitectural, specifications, mechanical, electrical, and plumbingdisciplines. Provide guidance to Structural Technicians and Designers byassigning work, answering questions and checking work for accuracy. Workwith Technicians to provide appropriate information and details todevelop documents. Participate in construction site visits and performgeneral CA phase duties including shop drawing review, submittals,change orders, addendums and RFI's. Assist in coordination of staffactivities to assure the project budget, schedule and quality goals areachieved. Schedule design reviews with the Senior Structural Engineer orDirector of Structural Engineering as appropriate to ensure qualitystandards. Help maintain structural project schedules and budgets,recognizing additional services and alerting appropriate seniorstructural staff. What you bring to this role Experience: Minimum fiveyears of recent and relevant experience in structural design ofbuildings required. Experience with science, healthcare, academic, andworkplace spaces preferred. Software: Proficiency with structuralanalysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, etc.) and Revit required. Knowledgeof Microsoft Office required. Education: Bachelor's degree instructural engineering or civil engineering required. Master's degreepreferred. PE or SE registration required.
