JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician youperform the preventative maintenance plan for equipment includingpreparing, setting-up, and recalibrating molding equipment andmachinery. Below are additional duties and responsibilities: Serve as agood role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior byconducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety andthe safety of others. Learn and master all necessary areas of thequality system. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and GoodDocumentation Practices (GDP). Perform mechanical, electrical,pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.Follow preventative maintenance plan for molding equipment on a daily,weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual schedule, or per customerrequests. May prepare and set up machinery for scheduled productionruns. Re-calibrate molding machinery per annual preventative maintenanceplan. Complete maintenance issues as they arise and complete necessarydocumentation for each assignment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairsof production equipment during production and perform scheduledmaintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Readand interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform requiredmaintenance and service. Ability to work independently on assigned tasksas well as to accept direction on given assignments. Resolve auxiliaryequipment issues as they arise. Any other duties as assigned. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and Skills A qualifiedMaintenance Technician candidate would fulfill these requirements:Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, in arelated field of study, or a four-year university program, in a relatedfield of study; and three to five years related experience, or accruedon-the-job training and experience. Ability to perform mechanic skillsincluding, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic andhydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems along withproper safety issues. Understanding of electrical and hydraulic prints.Basic understanding of ladder logic or PLC programming. Understand andutilize general safety knowledge within the work environment.
