Project Engineer - Solid Waste

SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Engineer in Bedford, Texas to work on various solid waste related projects. You should be a quick learner, motivated, team-player, and have the desire to grow professionally. Projects focus on landfills and landfill infrastructure, solid waste management, including landfill gas, composting and composting facility infrastructure, and other similar type projects, which require AutoCAD skills, design, engineering, permitting, and construction inspections.Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices in solid waste assignment areas and related fieldsComplete designs using 2D and Civil 3D AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, etcPrepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applicationsMakes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences.Field work performed in varied terrain and weather will be requiredOffice based tasks including: AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etcBusiness development including: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry related conferences/trade showsReceive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projectsBachelor's degree in Civil or Environemntal Engineering or related engineering major requiredMinimum of 4 years of civil engineering and/or solid waste design experience required.E.I.T. required, P.E. preferredExperience with using AutoCAD Civil 3D design softwareValid driver's license with a driving record in good standing requiredUSD $80,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.Please note that our pay ranges are determined by several factors, including relevant experience, internal pay equity, and location.
