Personnel Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personnel Security (PERSEC) Specialist to manage and maintain the security clearance process for a government customer. The PERSEC Specialist will be responsible for performing data entry, managing security records and databases, and communicating with government agencies, contractors and team members. The successful candidate will have a strong background in personnel security, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Perform high-accuracy data entry and maintain accurate and up-to-date security records and databases.Communicate with multiple government agencies, contractors and team members to facilitate the clearance process, address inquiries, and provide updates.Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.Receive, process, and manage a variety of documents from government agencies and contractors, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), continuous enrollment forms, and other required documents.Conduct PERSEC audits and ensure compliance with federal security regulationsProvide PERSEC training and awareness to personnel on security-related topicsDevelop and implement PERSEC Plans and ProceduresMonitor and evaluate PERSEC-related incidents, investigations, and reports to identify areas for improvement or resolutionHandle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA;9 years with High School/GED Diploma; in lieu of degreeActive TS/SCI Clearance with polyProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, government-related software and security databasesKnowledge of federal security regulations (ICD 704, NISPOM, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven experience in developing and implementing PERSEC plans and proceduresExcellent PERSEC investigative and analytical skillsAbility to work well in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExperience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) customersFamiliar with clearance processing activities for government agenciesDesiredMinimum of 7-9 years’ experience in personnel security or a similar rolePeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
