Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for a large workforce spanning multiple locations. Based in Waco, Texas, this role involves overseeing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations, and managing a dedicated remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Direct and oversee weekly payroll processing for over 10,000 employees across multiple locations. u2022 Supervise and mentor a remote bookkeeping team, fostering accountability and encouraging growth. u2022 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations across 43 states. u2022 Manage the accurate processing of wage garnishments, levies, and other payroll deductions. u2022 Conduct and review payroll-related reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Monitor and enhance payroll systems to align with organizational needs and evolving regulations. u2022 Develop and implement strategies for efficient payroll operations and process improvements. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless payroll integration and reporting. u2022 Address and resolve complex payroll issues with professionalism and expertise. u2022 Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive payroll information. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in high-volume or multi-location environments. u2022 Extensive knowledge of payroll laws, multi-state payroll operations, and wage & hour compliance. u2022 Proficiency in processing payroll for large employee bases, with experience managing over 500 employees. u2022 Familiarity with payroll software systems such as Paylocity or similar platforms. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in wage garnishments, payroll tax filings, and reconciliations. u2022 Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively. u2022 Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. u2022 High attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to confidentiality.
