Accounts Receivable Associate

Description Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with an Elmira NY client of his that has been growing a lot. This is a newly created role. The organization is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Associate to join their team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining timely collections to support the companyu2019s financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Help generate and issue customer invoices and account statements with precision and timeliness. u2022 Accurately process customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, credit cards, and other forms of payment. u2022 Monitor account balances to ensure timely collections and actively address overdue payments. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing and payments. u2022 Communicate with customers to discuss account status, payment arrangements, and resolve concerns. u2022 Prepare aging reports and contribute to monthly accounts receivable reporting for management review. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring accurate receivable records. u2022 Collaborate with teams such as sales, customer service, and accounting to address account-related concerns. u2022 Assist with various accounting tasks and special projects as needed to support overall financial operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role. u2022 Proficiency in cash applications, billing functions, and commercial collections. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with both customers and internal teams.
