Passion for our mission and vision is requiredSpecial Mentions:Relocation provided, if eligible.Travel encouraged up to 5% of the timeDay Shift: Monday - Thursday (5am - 3:30pm)Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Fabricate and install hydraulic, pneumatic, and propellant tubingWork with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback for ease of assembly, and support development testsReview, edit, and follow work instructions for assembly tasksPlan and communicate assembly steps for complex mechanical installationsSafely work with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and/or high pressureAssemble and tack weld parts together using TIG welding or equivalent experience as neededCollaborate with design engineers to recommend tooling designs needed to fixture parts for weldingVisually inspect welds and verify quality applying borescopes and other inspection methodsDevelop weld schedules for various systems and componentsSetup, operate, and maintain orbital tube welding equipmentCut and prepare all tubing and fittings used in welding operationsMaintain a clean work environmentMinimum Qualifications:2+ years of orbital welding experience2+ years' experience in aerospace or related fieldsExperience with AWS D17.1 and or similar fusion welding or orbital tube welding specificationsAbility to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment (band saw, chop saw, grinders, drills, etc.)Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.)Ability to read and understand aerospace 2D/3D drawingsExperience with various thin wall alloys (316 SS, Inco 625, CRES 21-6-9, Monel, Titanium)Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areasPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safetyExperience measuring and inspecting tube assemblies using a vector measuring machineExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardwareKnowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory, and various issue tracking systemsWorking knowledge of a variety of tube/fluid applications including GN2, GHe, hydraulics, and cryogenicsAbility to use 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standardExperience cleaning tube systems to aerospace or medical standardsClean room experienceCertification from an orbital weld training programTube bending experienceCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $29.04-$40.65Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
