From initial investigations through planning, concept development, final design, and construction, DEA responds with solutions that serve today's transportation needs while accommodating tomorrow's growth.u00a0 Our Transportation Business Unit focuses on four markets: Bridges and Structures, Roads and Highways, Transit and Rail, and Construction Engineering.The Transportation business unit is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:Lead drainage engineering teams on transportation projects--including freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared-use facilitiesPerform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, public and private site developments, and flood control projectsDrainage design, including, but not limited to, the design of storm sewers, culverts, detention/water quality facilities, bridge deck drainage, river hydraulics. bridge hydraulics, and roadside ditches.Coordinate and oversee the work of the assigned design team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirementsPerform design and oversee preparation of plans and details using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and/or Civil-3DProduce and QC erosion control and/or stormwater management plans, reports, quantities, and specificationsServe as lead drainage technical liaison with client on project efforts.Staff management of local drainage engineering staffWhat You BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Water Resources EngineeringMinimum of 10 years of drainage design experience related to transportation infrastructure projectsMust be able to lead effectively in a collaborative team environment and foster strong, positive relationships with both team members and clientsLocal county and municipality project experienceLicensed Utah Professional EngineerPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Civil or Water Resources EngineeringExperience working with Utah Department of TransportationBridge scour revetment designDemonstrated work experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Pondpack, and SRH-2DWhat we offer David Evans and Associates?We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
