Position Summary ServiceAssistants are responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experienceby clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, as well as ensuring all areasare well-stocked and tidy. The Service Assistant directly supports serversand/or bartenders during service, performing any tasks necessary to ensure ahigh-quality guest experience. Overview of Responsibilities u25cfProvide guest hospitality; clear, clean, and replenish tables,settings, and all service areas; remove courses as completed and deliver tokitchen; replenish utensils; refill water glasses; remain alert to guest needsat all needs u25cfAid waitstaff and bartenders as needed to perform guest relatedduties u25cfEnsure polished and clean presentation of allareas u25cfPrepare dining rooms for patrons by cleaning, setting napkins,service plates, water bottles, and utensils. Perform opening and closing dutiesincluding set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the area within the allottedtimeframe not to exceed 20% or maximum of 2 hours of the scheduled shift time u25cfSupport servers by setting up and replenishing service stations,trash containers liners, and bus stations u25cfMaintain service areas, clean up spills as needed u25cfFulfill guest dining requests as needed and facilitatecommunication of guest requests to servers u25cfMake every effort to meet guestu2019s needs by either obtainingrequested items for guest or communicating needs to server or management team u25cfGreet guests upon seating and fill water glasses u25cfAdhere to sanitation and safety policies u25cfFollow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines includingbeing ready to work at scheduled shift time, in uniform, with neat andpresentable appearance u25cfPerform all other reasonably assigned duties Minimum Qualifications u25cfStrong work ethic, team player, and exceptional guest serviceskills u25cf1+ year experience as a Busser or Runner in a fast-paced,high-volume service environment preferred and/or equivalent relevant experience u25cfAbility to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences,exceed guest expectations, and strive to create a memorable experience at everyCity Winery visit u25cfAbility to navigate venue conditions, including tight spaces, darkroom and loud environment u25cfPolished presentation u25cfAbility to take direction from others u25cf Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven abilityto build positive relationships with people in the scope of employment u25cf Aptitude to resolve problems u25cfAbility to work both independently and in a team environment u25cfAbility to work a flexible schedule including days, nights,weekends, and holidays u25cfAbility to perform physical requirements of the role includingstanding/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, usingstairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
