JOB REQUIREMENTS: Join IMEG as a Structural Engineering Intern inMadison, WI, and lay the foundation for your engineering career withreal-world project experience. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll contribute tothe analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems forbuildings and other structures. You'll work alongside experiencedengineers, manage tasks within project budgets, and see how yourcontributions directly support client goals-while gaining the skills,knowledge, and professional network to launch your future in structuralengineering. Principal Responsibilities Assist in designingdiscipline-specific systems per code and IMEG standards Research andsource project-related resources Support client relations, maintainproject design notebooks, and prepare permanent record documentationCoordinate design and schedules with other disciplines and suppliersDocument design decisions, meetings, and client instructions whiletracking progress Review project documents for accuracy and completenessbefore final checks Prepare and issue addendum information Conduct jobsite observations and perform services per contract requirementsRequired Qualifications and Skills Completed at least 2 years towards aBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or ArchitecturalEngineering, or equivalent, required Prior internship experience in thebuilding design consulting industry preferred Strong interest in designconsulting Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limitedto, Word, Excel, and Outlook Skilled in AutoCAD and/or BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM) software Ability to clearly communicate inboth oral and written communication to individuals or groups Thisposition is not eligible for sponsorship.
