We are hiring aData Architect (Remote) to join our Data Management & Security team Inthis role you'll have responsibility to manage the uniform definitionof data elements across our organization. This is a senior-levelposition which is accountable for the consistency, quality, andavailability of TDS Telecom's data within an integrated systemsenvironment. This role is integral to the success of the process andproductivity initiative, the process and visioning councils, the longrange development of a shared services organization and the ability toproduce process improvement initiatives through automation of manualprocesses. Data ownership definition will allow removal of duplicateprocesses and enable integration of standalone processes. This positionhas the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDSTelecom operates. Responsibilities Develop and support architecturalprinciples related to management of data as a corporate asset. Applyindustry best practice, accepted frameworks and business appropriatetechniques to support TDS initiatives. Ensure adherence to governanceand that principles are applied for new projects. Train and guide othersto understand the fundamentals of data normalization, data modeling,data use, and data lifecycle management. Work across a wide range ofstakeholders, application subject matter experts, architects, technologyand business leaders to harness perspectives, influence & driveconsistent data practices. Define governance and best practices aroundmeta-data to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterpriseinformation, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, reusability, andconsistent definitions for common reference data. Drive the ongoingimplementation and use of the corporate Data Dictionary. Keep currentwith data architecture technologies and management trends.
