MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Project Manager in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.The Audio Visual Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to motivate, enable and excite team members while working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. The Audio Visual Project Manager will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.Typical duties include:Facilitate internal and external Project Kickoff meetings among Sales, Engineering, Programming, Fabrication & Installation, Customer resources, and subcontractor resources.Create and manage comprehensive project schedules and coordinate/verify appropriate resource scheduling for all required project tasks.Place orders for project equipment and material.Manage all project (equipment, labor, miscellaneous, direct and indirect costs, etc.) expenditures based on the project budget throughout the project lifecycle, identify problem areas, spearhead resolution, and communicate any issues impacting profitability to management.Provide and review status/progress reporting of all projects internally and externally. Raise any issues to management at this time for escalation.Identify and manage project risk, resolving all project-related issues with the team or through escalation to management.Ensure that any scope, schedule, cost, or change of terms are handled in accordance with the established MCS of Tampa change order procedures.Manage and verify the quality of work performed by internal and/or subcontracted resources.Become a subject matter expert with contract documents for each assigned project, including, but not limited to project scopes of work, bid drawings and specifications, contract, subcontractor scopes of work, and construction schedules.Raise awareness immediately to management regarding potential claims or back charges or any large costs that will affect MCS of Tampa financially.Maintain and develop a strong relationship with customers with direct interaction with a focus on improving customers' perception of on-time delivery, quality, communication, responsiveness, and problem-solving. Respond to communications from customers regarding problems or concerns in a timely and professional manner.Steer project results to satisfy customer requirements to obtain MCS of Tampa Net Promoter Score goals.Travel to various job sites as required.Gather and supply MCS of Tampa Service teams with applicable close-out documentation.Other duties as assigned.Required:Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain US DoD Secret ClearanceEducational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.Professional certifications in AV programming (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron AV Associate, or similar) will be advantageous.Experience Requirements:5+ years of technical AV Project Management related experienceExperience managing teams of 6 or more.Experience managing projects of $2 Million in value or greater is preferredProficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in AV programming, such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and BIAMP.The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.Extensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including audio processors, video scalers, digital signal processors, switchers, and control systems.Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as TCP/IP, RS-232, and Dante.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV system issues.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to travel to customer sites.
