All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Riverside Research seeks a personable and highly technical individual capable of providing information technology support to groups performing cutting-edge research supporting national security interests. In the role of IT Systems Administrator, a successful candidate will leverage experience supporting Linux and Windows-based IT infrastructure as well as DevOps-oriented tools and processes to provide end-user support, operation, and maintenance of IT systems in several classified computing environments. As a part of a large, distributed team of IT professionals, this role affords a self-motivated candidate a high degree of flexibility and autonomy, permitting you the opportunity to learn and grow while making a direct impact on national security. This is an on-site position located at our Beavercreek office.Provide Tier 2 operation and support of VMware based environment with Linux and Windows based operating systems across multiple national security information systemsCoordinate with Engineering and Helpdesk personnel to ensure seamless and reliable network operationsEmploy creative solutions and cutting-edge technologies to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of multiple national security systemsAct as liaison and advocate between customer, IT management, Engineering, and Information Security staffMaintain, execute, and improve established system operation processes and proceduresAssess system failures with all available tools and knowledge to enable the customer to meet contractual obligationsCoordinate all significant information technology changes with the appropriate parties such as management, infrastructure, and information security following management procedureOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Active Top-Secret (or higher) USG Clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of IT experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of IT experience, or 10 years IT experienceAbility to manage time independently without direct supervisionCapability to troubleshoot complex information technology problems using all available resourcesExperience upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardwareKnowledge of communication security processes and procedures including related hardwareDoD 8140 (451) Systems Admin - Intermediate Certification (Security+ or Equivalent)Desired Qualifications:Seeking a candidate that has at least 5 years’ experience performing systems administration including 2 years of Linux experienceWorking knowledge of Platform One-aligned infrastructure technologiesExperience with traditional IT stack (Clients, Networking, Servers, Storage)Demonstrable experience installing, configuring, and supporting Linux-based operating systemsImplemented STIGS on Windows and/or Linux operating systemsActive Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication$85,000- $120,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors. Riverside Research Institute is a not-for-profit, technology-oriented defense company, where service to our customers and support of our staff is our overall mission.
