Academic DeanThe Academic Dean is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, and academic integrity of the campus. This role oversees faculty, curriculum development, student success initiatives, accreditation compliance, and overall academic operations. The Academic Dean ensures that academic programs align with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.In addition to joining an organization with an outstanding mission, Concorde is happy to provide the following Benefits You'll Love -Tuition Waiver: Enjoy a tuition waiver after 6 months of employment for you AND your immediate family offered at UTI and Concorde campusesPaid Time Off: Competitive paid time off programs for employees (Vacation, Sick, Flexible)Retirement Matching: 50% match on the first 6% of your contributions after 90 daysPaid Parental Leave: 4 weeks of paid leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents to bond with a new babyCompetitive Insurance: Health, vision, and dental coverage for you and your dependentsPet Insurance: Competitive coverage for your furry family members through ASPCAHealth Plan Enrollment: Eligibility starts first of the month following completing one full month of employmentSalary Range: $105K to $120KPrincipal Accountabilities & DeliverablesProvide visionary leadership in curriculum development, academic policies, and faculty developmentEnsure academic programs meet accreditation, state, and federal requirementsPromote excellence in teaching, research, and student learning outcomesCollaborate with leadership and program directors to implement new and update existing curriculum based on program objectives, industry trends and student needsImplement training programs and workshops of faculty/staff for professional developmentOversee student advising, retention, and academic support servicesAddress academic concerns, grievances, and appealsSupport initiatives to enhance student engagement, career readiness, and experiential learningDevelop and maintain learning resources that comply with regulatory standards and meet students needsImplement mechanisms to meet and exceed all academic outcomes for students and campusLead the campus student retention efforts and provide support for program directors and faculty with retention activities, strategy, and initiativesContribute to institutional strategic planning and accreditation effortsManage budgetary and financial planning for the academic divisionFoster relationships with external partners, including businesses, advisory boards, community organizations, and accrediting bodiesEnsure adherence to accreditation and regulatory standardsLead program assessment and continuous improvement effortsMaintain academic records and oversee institutional reporting requirementsEstablish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metricsRecognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievementsOther duties as assignedEducation / ExperienceMaster's degree in an Academic Area, Education, or closely related field (required)Doctorate degree in an Academic Area, Education, or closely related field (preferred)Eight (8) years leadership experience in education and four (4) years experience teaching or acting in an administrative role within a post-secondary environment (preferred)Prior experience an an Academic Dean (preferred)SkillsProficiency in budget management and strategic planningKnowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., ACCSC) and higher education policiesProficiency with online education and emerging instructional technologiesProficiency leading interdisciplinary initiatives and multiple higher education programsAbilitiesAbility to collaborate with faculty, staff, and external stakeholdersStandard AbilitiesAble and willing to:Communicate, think, learn, and reasonUse computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasksSafely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locationsDemonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibilityAbility to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneouslyAbility to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the positionAbility to foster long-term relationships with stakeholdersWork EnvironmentWork is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.This position is designated as:On-site; Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.Travel requirementsLocal (up to 5%)Overnight Travel (up to 5%)
