DescriptionThe World-Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) team is looking for an experienced Sr. Infrastructure Readiness PM to drive Pre-Deployment Activities for highly complex Robotics retrofit deployments. This person will be an entrepreneurial self-starter, with experience in Design, Preconstruction and Construction and MHE/Robotics technology. The IR PM will work cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managing Robotics retrofit deployments from initial concept through final robotics deployment, with particular attention paid to critical utility and infrastructure needs. This individual will help build new processes and playbooks, provide leadership regular status reports, collaborate with internal stakeholder teams, interface with external Architects and General Contractors all while being an escalation point for Amazon Robotics onsite teams. The ideal candidate has passion for building processes with excellent analytical abilities, technical skills, and effective written and verbal communication. You must demonstrate the ability to efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources across multiple projects and working groups spanning design and technology. This position requires you to manage stakeholder expectations, schedules, budgets, assets and scopesu2014because organization and attention to detail are in your DNA. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners. You will make decisions and find solutions quickly and with confidence and not expect someone else to show you the right way forward. You are the right person for this position if you take ownership of your work, display a great deal of initiative, possess common sense & sound judgment. This position requires up to 70% domestic travel. Key job responsibilities Core Competencies/Responsibilities (will vary based on program & project type): u2022 Manage projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners. u2022 Act as the single point of contact for TD to interface with GES D&C team members. u2022 Manage Cross functional Schedules on complex AR Retrofit BAG programs, starting from site identification through final project handover. u2022 Review/Redline Construction Plans, ensuring scope is clearly defined and meets AR specifications. u2022 Evaluate site feasibility including delivery access and general prototype program requirements u2022 Create construction estimates for new capital projects. Create and track project budgets from initial site evaluation through project close out u2022 Lead weekly meetings to keep all partners aligned on scope, schedule, permitting and budget. u2022 Publish weekly business review that provides transparent, accurate, detailed status reports. u2022 Responsible for on-site supervision during the construction process to include management of General Contractors, and Owner vendors. u2022 Participate in the design development process to collaborate and value engineer construction methods to reduce time and cost. u2022 Manage change order negotiations and contract compliance. u2022 Escalation point for Tech Deployment partners when encountering utility/construction related blockers. u2022 Ensure contractor compliance Safety/OSHA requirements are met on all sites to minimize risk. u2022 Drive and oversee the creation and continual improvement process related to Construction SOPu2019s, Master Service Agreements, Bidding procedures, GC qualifications, and other legal and process documentation. This accelerates the maturity of complex solutions throughout the product lifecycle to enable simplified execution.Basic Qualificationsu2022 Bacheloru2019s or Masteru2019s degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction Management. u2022 10+ years in construction management or architecture demonstrating progressive responsibility and growth within the industry u2022 10+ years of complex large scale project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience. u2022 5+ years of verbal/written communication along with ability to influence stakeholders at Director levels+. u2022 5+ yearsu2019 working within highly ambiguous environments and/or leading rapid scalingPreferred Qualificationsu2022 Experience working in Design or Construction Management of Fulfillment Centers. u2022 15+ years of complex large scale project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience. u2022 10+ years of technical program management working directly with engineering teams along with ability to influence stakeholders at Director levels+. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
