You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, MOT, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, traffic, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. District Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering seamlessly transitions solutions from design to construction through the collaborative efforts of Design Engineering, Design Management, Proposals, Estimating, and Integrated Project Controls. Responsibilities u2022 Coordinate with project team to understand the design limits and constraints u2022 Develop and lead MOT design production on pursuit and final design projects u2022 Review project scope and contracts to assure MOT plans meet project requirements u2022 Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development u2022 Coordinate with project estimating and scheduling staff to develop and optimize construciton phasing u2022 Strong focus on innovation and ability to envision, develop and evaluate multiple phasing options, design optimization, and alternative technical concepts u2022 Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are compatible u2022 Lead quality control reviews, comment resolution meetings, and verify corrections are completed u2022 Lead project level meetings u2022 Interface with project stakeholders as needed u2022 Develop Transportation Management Plans Qualifications u2022 Minimum of 8 years of transportation experience on U.S. infrastructure projects, and 5+ years of MOT experience u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree or greater in Civil Engineering u2022 Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) u2022 Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) a plus u2022 Design build experience required u2022 Roadway or Traffic Engineering experience is preferred u2022 Extensive knowledge of the MUTCD, Roadside Design Guide and construction traffic control design u2022 Experience in developing Maintenance of Traffic Plans for Design-Build projects is desired u2022 Experience in development of Transportation Management Plans is desired u2022 Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan ahead u2022 Knowledge of design software including MicroStation, Inroads, ORD, SignCAD, AutoCAD and Civil3D u2022 Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing #LI-MD1 Other Requirements: + Regular, reliable attendance + Work productively and meet deadlines timely + Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. + Perform work safely and effectively.
