Description We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Syosset, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and updating logistics databases while ensuring the accuracy and quality of data entry processes. This is a long-term contract position with potential for permanent placement, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to warehouse and freight management operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Input data into logistics freight management systems with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Verify and sort paper-based information before transferring it into electronic formats using Microsoft Excel. u2022 Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors to maintain database accuracy. u2022 Collaborate with local warehouse management teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow. u2022 Prepare, organize, and compile source materials for data entry tasks. u2022 Safeguard sensitive information by adhering to confidentiality protocols. u2022 Maintain comprehensive logbooks to track and document changes or updates to the database. u2022 Support team objectives by completing data-related tasks efficiently and contributing to collective goals. u2022 Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures for data entry and management. u2022 Assist in improving data entry processes and templates to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database systems. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with warehouse management and team members. u2022 Familiarity with logistics or freight management systems is highly desirable. u2022 Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. u2022 Organizational skills to compile, sort, and manage large volumes of data efficiently. u2022 Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday and meet deadlines consistently.
