The CFO ensures compliance with state and federal laws, and maintains an internal controls framework. Work involves monitoring, maintaining, and overseeing accounting processes, procedures, and controls. Prepares financial analyses and reports. Prepares the agencys Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) and other reports required by the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and monitors agency budgets. Prepares all reports required by the Comptroller of Public Accounts and other external entities. Daily activities include work in various technical accounting areas, including, but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel, payroll, and financial reporting. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with extensive latitude for independent judgment. Must have initiative, exercise sound judgment, be highly-skilled at problem-solving, and may be called upon to perform other duties as assigned.
