Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role involves handling a range of accounting tasks, including tax preparation, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations. u2022 Manage sales tax reporting and ensure accurate calculations. u2022 Record and review journal entries to maintain financial accuracy. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure proper documentation. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes with thorough reviews. u2022 Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights. u2022 Continuously monitor and improve accounting processes for efficiency.
