Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for leading and developing business with selected North American key accounts, aiming for profitable and sustainable growth through strategic account management and executive relationship building. Acting as the primary contact for the key accounts' headquarters, the role involves coordinating strategic initiatives, product standardizations, and escalations. It works closely with Sales & Service Managers to design and execute sales strategies for these accounts.Key responsibilities include:Achieving sales targets and business development goals by implementing strategic and tactical sales plans.Collaborating with product champions and internal teams (LSS reps, instrument reps, field service) to generate leads, develop opportunities, and deliver comprehensive customer proposals leveraging the full METTLER TOLEDO lab product and service portfolio.Leading strategic campaigns to build strong, high-value customer relationships.Conducting technical presentations and demonstrations of laboratory instruments and software, both in-person and virtually.Employing a consultative sales approach to identify opportunities, manage the sales cycle, defend market position, and establish national strategic partnerships with key accounts.Promoting METTLER TOLEDO's total solution approach, including service, validation, training, and professional services.Coordinating post-sale activities such as installation and training to ensure customer success.Managing territory, time, and expenses efficiently within budget.Utilizing CRM and other technology tools as per company requirements.Maintaining expert product knowledge and developing penetration plans for all NA key accounts.Supporting and training dealer channels to effectively represent and promote METTLER TOLEDO products and services.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.What You Need to SucceedA minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Chemistry, Natural Sciences or Business.5 years of Field Sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Prior knowledge of the weighing or analytical instrument sales market is desirable.Significant experience with ERP and/or CRM systems; SAP preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to make presentations to senior groups and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.Excellence in interpersonal/communication skills, professional maturity, and the ability to work with minimum supervision - a self-starter with strong organization, prioritization and time management skillsStrategic thinking, and willingness to do so within a collaborative team environmentExperience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Strong customer orientation with ability to develop executive level relationships.Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to read communication styles of customers and team members and interact effectivelyAbility to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, customers, internal departments and third party subcontractors and vendorsTechnical competence and knowledge depending on product line of support; applicable examples include engineering, biology, analytical chemistry or material scienceOur Offer to YouMedical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hireTuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discountsParental and caregiver leave policiesAll the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability
