We're seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who's ready to take on a leadership role and grow into higher levels of financial management within the Club.---Position Summary:As the Senior Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in the financial operations of the Club. This position is ideal for a driven accounting professional looking to deepen their expertise in hospitality finance while preparing for eventual advancement to Accounting Manager, Controller or Finance Manager roles. You will collaborate directly with the Controller, Accounting Manager and department heads, overseeing core accounting functions while also contributing to strategic planning, process improvements, and financial analysis.---Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and forecasts. Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and variance analysis. Participate in preparing workpapers for the external audit team Support department heads with financial guidance, including cost analysis and revenue tracking. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost control. Ensure compliance with internal controls, Club policies, and regulatory standards. Assist the Controller in strategic initiatives and special projects, including technology upgrades or new system implementations.---Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Minimum 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a hospitality, club, or private membership environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Northstar, Jonas, QuickBooks, Clubessential, or similar). Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
