You will work closely with our clients to ensure the reliability and efficiency of their generator equipment, providing technical expertise and excellent customer service.Essential Job FunctionsAlways explain to the customer what service you are performing and give exact prices & gain approval before doing the workEstablish customer rapport to sell the right products and services for the customer's needs and wantsEducate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat businessMaintain your truck so that it is always neat and clean on the inside and outsideMaintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completedAlways be safety conscious both on the job and while drivingParticipate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreatsTrain and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installationsConduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on generator systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.Install new generator systems according to regulations.Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.Essential Job RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to adequately perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential generators and electrical appliancesStrong customer service and interpersonal communication skillsJourneyman license or able to obtain within 6 monthsAbility to provide repair versus replacement options to customersKnowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required toolsHigh School Diploma or GEDClean driving recordBasic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document workAbility to speak, read, and write fluently in the English languagePhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
