We offer competitive salary and a great benefit package in an exciting, rewarding industry.Dohrn is currently seeking a Part-Time Dock Supervisor at our St. Louis, MO terminal!Pay is $26.50/HourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 5PM StartESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide supervision and feedback for Dock team membersAssist with dockworker duties when neededCommunicate efficiently with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure a successful operationWork in a safe and professional manner so as to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employeesComply with federal, state, and company regulationsProcess all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the jobWork in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all timesPerform other duties as neededMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:A minimum age of 18Valid Driver LicenseHigh School completion or equivalentPrevious experience in the Transportation industry requiredSupervisory experience preferredMust pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screenMust consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative resultExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented, organizedMust meet all physical requirementsMust pass certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handlingAbility to multi-task and react to change productivelyExcellent attendanceWORKING CONDITION/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Lifting various types of materials will be required: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etcCommon material handling tools will be used: forklifts, carts, dollies, banding machines, shrink wrap tubes, pallet jacks, and tow motorsStanding, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending at the waist, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be requiredMust be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two-wheel handcartWill be required to lift up, set down, slide or move weight unassisted that could exceed 80 poundsMust be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and 100+ lbs. on an infrequent basisMust be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of timeMust have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts and tractorsMust have the ability to work around and operate motorized equipmentMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job descriptionMay be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions in the dock environment; must be able to perform essential functions in these conditionsDohrn Transfer Company, LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
