Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee critical financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of general ledger management, financial statement audits, and month-end closing procedures. Based in Westbury, New York, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all financial reports. u2022 Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. u2022 Oversee financial statement audits, collaborating with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve queries. u2022 Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. u2022 Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. u2022 Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Provide guidance and support to less experienced accounting staff, fostering their growth and development. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting accuracy. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. u2022 Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in conducting financial statement audits and preparing audit documentation. u2022 Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and tools to manage financial data effectively. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. u2022 Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
