This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. Youu2019ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer to be based in New York, New York . _This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026._ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform analytical tasks including traffic data collection and data manipulation. + Perform traffic and capacity analysis on roadway networks. + Perform traffic analysis on roadway networks using transportation planning/engineering software (HCS, Synchro, simulation, etc.). + Prepare written documentation of NEPA/SEQRA/CEQRA Transportation results in support of client projects. + Prepare written reports and presentations of project findings that support moving projects from concept/preliminary alternatives into design, or document operational enhancements. + Builds analytic and design skills. + Conducts planning analysis and engineering conceptual design under the supervision of an experienced traffic engineer. + Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: + Masteru2019s Degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering preferred. + FE Certification desired. + Valid U.S. Driveru2019s License preferred to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is not available. The selected candidate must be available to work in New York, NY on a scheduled basis. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
