Other information: Required Job Qualifications: u2022 Formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. u2022 Valid Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license. u2022 Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. u2022 Proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment. u2022 Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and physiology. u2022 Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Maintains ARRT Mammography certification. u2022 Meets Level 1 requirements AND is proficient in 1) Diagnostic Examinations and 2). Breast Needle Localizations Physical Demands: u2022 Requires full body range of motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary. u2022 Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Responsibilities: u2022 Assists in room preparedness, i.e. cleaning rooms and supply placement, to include ultrasound rooms. u2022 Assists Radiologist in the performance of interventional breast procedures. u2022 Assists the technical aides and/or radiologists by informing patients and referring physicians of patient appointment delays. u2022 Follows departmental protocols and procedures in the performance of exams and produces images that meet quality standards. u2022 Follows work and patient schedules. u2022 Has a working knowledge of the Radiology Information Systems, EPIC and PACS (Candelis). u2022 Maintains a screening technical repeat average of 1% or lower. u2022 Maintains licensure/registry status as determined by state or regulatory bodies. u2022 Maintains logs and documentation as per departmental protocol. u2022 Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. u2022 Maintains the physical work environment in a manner that meets departmental and regulatory requirements. u2022 Participates in the training and development of students assigned to the area through clinical affiliations. u2022 Produces work in an efficient manner that meets departmental productivity standards. u2022 Provides detailed patient history and/or other pertinent information necessary for proper interpretation of image. u2022 Provides quality patient care as defined by departmental and age specific standards of care. u2022 Reports supply shortages or equipment failures to operations manager and/or team leader.
