Job Description

REA3028 Real Estate Asset Management and Disposition The Boston Architectural College (BAC) seeks an adjunct instructor to teach its Real Estate Asset Management and Disposition course. This course explores the strategies and practices for responsible financial, environmental and social management of real estate assets throughout their life cycles. Students will learn approaches to financial analysis, portfolio management, and decision-making for refinancing, repositioning, or selling properties to optimize returns while promoting social responsibility and environmental resilience. This 8-week,1.5 credit course is taught synchronously using Zoom in the spring term from mid-March to mid-May. One 3-hour class meeting per week is required. In spring 2026, the class is scheduled on Wednesday from 7:15 to 10:15pm (ET) though this is subject to change to meet the selected candidateu2019s schedule. Students are located throughout the US and in several neighboring countries. Qualifications Minimum required qualifications: o Masteru2019s degree in real estate development, urban planning, architecture, business, or a related field o Several years of professional experience in or closely related to commercial, corporate, or institutional real estate, property management and asset disposition Preferred qualifications: o Prior teaching or mentoring in an academic or professional setting o Familiarity with financial modeling tools and industry-standard software o Experience with online teaching (synchronous or asynchronous), online collaboration platforms, and/or Moodle (or a similar LMS) Interested candidates should submit the following materials to Don Hunsicker, Dean and Faculty, School of Design Studies at o Cover Letter explaining their interest in the position and their teaching philosophy o Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing relevant experience Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
