Sunnyvale, TX (DFW)Morley Moss, Inc. is currently looking for a Project Scheduler to work in the greater DFW area. Responsibilities are focused working directly with Project Field Leadership to understand project scope and create a project schedule based on information, durations, and task relationships developed by the project Team. Responsible for creating and maintaining job schedules, cross train in estimating, and project engineering.Essential Job FunctionsAssist Team Leads, Superintendents, and the Project and Program Managers in tracking the projects against baseline schedules and budgets.Before the project starts, create and revise preliminary master schedules detailing the sequence of all work performed.Assists the Project Manager in maintaining a Master schedule for each project, identifying and recording the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled.Evaluate actual progress and provide regular schedule terface with Operations to discuss the impact of work and resolution of problems.Create work breakdown structures.Identify relationships, constraints, and milestones with the project work schedule.QAQC review of schedule submissions for corporate Resource and Cost Loading data into schedules and report Earned Value as the project progresses.Assist the Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitoring such schedules to determine the impact on the master schedule, and helping formulate actions to correct scheduling problems.Have deep knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software and can utilize every aspect.Remain current on the advancements in scheduling software.Aid the Project Managers and others as required by incorporating Fragnets in the Project Schedule.Work with Field Leaders to create and fine-tune look ahead schedules as required.Create micro schedules for specific tasks as the project progressesAssign schedule activities to the appropriate General Foreman and perform the weekly schedule update with each respective General Foreman.Participate in the weekly schedule update with the General Contractor and report the status of updates received from the internal update process.RequirementsHighly Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.Ability to master new Software especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, SharePoint.Ability to be trained in Estimating.High initiative and ability to work well in a team environmentDetail-orientedAbility to multitaskCommon senseMinimum 1-3 years' preferred experience in project management, construction management or leadership management, undergraduate degree or graduate degree in construction Management or project management or related fieldTravel to jobsites in DFW area.Other SkillsAbilitiesMust demonstrate integrity, honesty, and professionalismMust have the ability to make sound decisions and produce accurate and timely resultsMust be able to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced multi-task environmentMust monitor and analyze data and solve problems on a tactical and strategic levelMust build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customersExhibit willingness to learn and improveMust be well-organized and be able to deal with a constantly changing environment.Contain great people skills while being a self-starter with a positive attitudeLANGUAGE SKILLSMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
