Job Summary As Cybersecurity Intern you will support and performsecurity assessmentand accreditation activities on IT systems and applications includingsecurity and compliance audits,risk assessments, security plans, and performing system tests and evaluation. Job Description We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern. This role is a full-time internship role and is remote . The internship dates are June 1, 2026 to July 31 2026. This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available during core business hours (8:30 am EST to 5:00 pm EST) for the entire 9-week duration of the program. Please note that all work must be performed within the United States. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. WhatYouu2019llDo + Support and performsecurity assessmentand accreditation activities on IT systems and applications includingsecurity and compliance audits,risk assessments, security plans, and performing system tests and evaluation + Support and conductverification and validationsecurity testing + Review and document policy, incident response and remediation gaps + Collaborate with senior cybersecurity professionals to develop action plans for compliance related findings and recommendations + Document and maintain data that is used for supportingremediation activities + Provide support relative tosecurity control implementation + Support the maintenance of security policies and procedures + Assist with testing of security controls to confirm system protection is in operation What You'll Need Required + Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree + Junior status with 3.5 GPA or higher + Able to meet established deadlines + Works well in a team environment + Technical aptitude to quickly grasp and understand system functionality + Attention to detail + Ability to document procedures and take notes + IT network or systems administration experience u200b Preferred + Familiarity withcompliance frameworksand IT controls is desired, but not required + Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ (Sec+), Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+), or other security related certifications are desired, but not required Physical Demands + Ability tosafely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistentwith the ADA and other federal,state,and local standards + Sedentary work that involves sitting orremainingstationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer,utilizinga mouse, keyboard, and monitor The pay range for this position is $20 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
