Check out our website at:What We Are Looking For: As a Senior Energy StorageElectrical Engineer, at PSE in our Madison, WI, St. Paul, MN or Denver,CO, office, your primary responsibility will be to assist in thedelivery of multidisciplinary Energy Storage System (ESS) projectsthrough their feasibility, pre-construction, and construction phaseswith a specific focus on the electrical design aspects of projects. Lead the design and engineering effortsof energy storage projects and the integration of energy storage inmicrogrids and other distributed energy resources projects. Evaluate andanalyze energy storage technologies, products, and vendors, and supportclients with technology and vendor selection and implementation. Supportdevelopers, utilities, and other clients with identifying, defining, andimplementing use-cases for energy storage systems Working Knowledge ofsizing energy storage systems and techno-economic modeling usingDER-CAM, UL Homer, and others. Develop code compliance documentation forenergy storage projects using NFPA 855, NFPA 70, and UL9540/A, includingdeveloping hazard mitigation analysis, fire response plans, andoperation and maintenance procedures. Experience with energy storage inboth utility-scale and/or large industrial facilities, including thefollowing design types, is strongly preferred: battery technology/chemistry selection, battery sizing, one-line development, sitearrangements, inverter selection, cable ampacity calculations,grounding, protective relaying, and associated systems design andconstruction administration. Serve as PSE's Subject Matter Expert onall things Energy Storage. Assist in Leading and developing ahigh-performing team of engineers and technicians through mentorship.Act as a company representative at industry conferences, seminars, andnetworking events to enhance visibility, build relationships, and stayinformed on industry trends. Develop and publish technical articles,white papers, and presentations to showcase expertise, contribute tothought leadership, and support business development efforts. What YouWill Need: Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in electricalengineering with Power Systems Focus 5+ years' experience working inthe electrical engineering industry with a minimum of 2+ years,specifically in the energy storage electrical engineering industry. PE(Professional Engineer) Licensure or the ability to get one within ayear. Experience working in commercial & industrial electricalengineering a plus Master's degree in electrical engineering a plusNABCEP certification or willingness to get one. Knowledge and SkillsExperience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, SKM, ETAP, and SEL Relays. Experiencewith industry-standard design codes, such as NEC, International BuildingCodes, International Fire Codes, and other relevant standards. Workingknowledge of applicable NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards is highlypreferr d. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong projectmanagement skills and ability to prioritize work and resources Possessthe ability to achieve quality results, be change-oriented, fosterinnovation, and be a continuous learner. Possess the ability tocontinually identify and recommend process and/or system improvements tofacilitate efficiencies. Compensation:Salary Range: $111,561 - $133,272 annually This salary range reflectsthe anticipated base salary for five minimum relevant years ofexperience.to ten maximum relevant years of experience.
