QC Microbiology Technician

Summary of Objective: Conducts sampling and testing of production environments, and/or facility clean utilities, as per approved procedures. Performs Lab work and other tasks as assigned by management. Essential Duties: u2022Maintains and adheres to safe work habits and all applicable PCI safety procedures and guidelines. Is proactive in identifying safety risks and alerts management to take corrective action. u2022Completes routine environmental monitoring of clean rooms, as per approved procedures over multiple local production sites. u2022Completes environmental monitoring of clean rooms during manufacturing, as per approved procedures over multiple local production sites. u2022Utility sampling, as per approved procedures over multiple local production sites. u2022Completed daily and weekly assigned tasks in the Microbiology Laboratory u2022Adheres to verbal instructions and written procedures in operating production equipment and performing processing steps; accurately completes appropriate production documentation u2022Complete data verifications checks and/or inputs u2022Other duties as assigned Special Demands: u2022This position requires frequent movement between different buildings for various tasks and responsibilities. u2022A key aspect of this role is the need for aseptic gowning and meticulous compliance with gowning procedures during clean room operations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS u2013 u2022Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses/goggles, gloves and safety shoes. u2022Ability to gown and gain entry to controlled manufacturing areas u2022Ability to lift, pull or push equipment requiring up to 15-20 lbs of force u2022Ability to stand for 6 hours in a production suite u2022Ability to work any shift (up to 10 hours) as required dependent on business needs Work Environment u2022Ability to work in a face paced environment u2022Must be able to travel between multiple local production u2022Resilient through operational change u2022Able to work in a highly complex environment with competing demands and priorities u2022Ability to work varied hours as required by the production schedule Qualifications: u2022 Exceptional organizational skills u2022 Following written instructions u2022 Detail oriented u2022 Ability to multi-task u2022 Word Processing, XL spreadsheets u2022 Competent in MS Office u2022 Professional verbal and written communication skills required u2022 High school diploma or its equivalent Join us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
